The moment I saw the green cap, my heart sank. The shame of being embarrassed by the traffic light was unbearable as I felt it twice in a row. It all started when I got caught crossing against the red light, and then again for running through without stopping. Each time I could feel the judgmental gaze of those around me, making my cheeks burn with humiliation.
